'Twas the night before Brexit
The whole world shook in fear
Would those crazy Brits risk it
And draw the apocalypse near?

I try to see things positively: If they quit, the chances of the Pound dropping even more than the Euro could make my next vacation in Britain much cheaper! :)

Problem: I have no family and no cats to eat, if things get really out of hand...

Whichever side wins, I hope it's by a clear margin - a very close vote could be nasty!

Get to know some vegetarians - they're tastier!

Bound to be - the polls are very tight, so the only way they can be wrong is if it's a landslide!

The ward in which I reside - Pajero Central - ain't usually known for complete strangers greeting each other on the street with a smile and a 'Hello', but that was the way of it in and around my local polling station today. Everyone seemed bright and cheerful. Very strange! A foretaste of the impending apocalypse, perhaps...

Possibly it's because the vote promises an actual, meaningful choice, between two different outcomes - something all too rare in the UK these days. However the vote goes, an outbreak of democracy is no bad thing.

Of course, given that we have no written constitution, and Westminster clings to this whole "sovereignty in parliament" nonsense, there's no guarantee that a vote to leave would actually change anything, if a majority of MPs decided to ignore the vote. Such an act would be dangerous, on many levels, but not illegal or impossible.

Dangerous indeed... but as you say, not impossible.
