I wonder if this is a bug, if it is intentional or something other. I've been doing pretty good recently, I've got $806,000 plus change in the bank and $560,000 invested into my Yasen - N; there's literally nothing else I can hang off it.
I found a simply spiffing Lira for sale well within my price range; I've been wanting one of these things. What with the cash and the turnover I've got more than enough to get the thing plus kit her out completely as well, and up here at Ceesxe I've got everything at my fingertips. So yeah - I bought the Lira.
Except...the moment I did, my bank account was completely wiped out. I mean reduced to zero. From the look of the thing, the shipyard took my cash, then bought Halitosis for the difference - about 50K. Huh? What gives?
I saved obviously, so no loss but I've tried it a few times and the result is the same. I tried getting around the system by buying the cheapest ship in the shipyard - a lousy Krait - taking the profits and rolling them into the Lira but I lost a LOT on the deal.
Reloading the save means I got the #$^*@%!!! trumble back, too. Oy.
So whatever's happening, it seems the game isn't honouring the value of the player's ship, or at least it isn't in my game. Is this common? Is there a fix?
Thanks.

Sounds like an OXP - which version of Oolite?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

1.82. I've stuck with Halitosis pretty much from the beginning; it was my first major upgrade, so I haven't bought many ships, but even so I can't recall this happening earlier.Cody wrote:Sounds like an OXP - which version of Oolite?
I'm wondering if Hyperspace Hangar might be doing something...it asks me if I want to store Halitosis at the sale, the options are 'Store' and 'Exit'. I tried storing then selling; it seems to work out the same.
I never use it, so I'll try uninstalling HH to see if there's any change.

$560,000. OK, I tried removing Hyperspace Hangar; that seemed to make the difference. The ship's value was properly added on to the total, leaving me with the expected amount of cash left over.Amah wrote:what does the shipyard tell you about the intrade value of the yasen?
That was odd. (Shrug)
