Re: Screenshots
I see you've still got Griff's stock decal on that Cobra, Admiral!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Re: Screenshots
Outbound from the Ceraso hub, I cruised into the aegis at Maarbi and found this lot awaiting me - all of them assassins.
Thing is, the queue system seemed completely jammed - kept telling me I was number two, but nothing was launching or docking. Even the docking computer got stuck, and eventually I had to dock without clearance (which cost me 5k). Fritz mentioned this sort of thing in the Spicy Hermits thread - but I ain't running Spicy Hermits.

Re: Screenshots
Was ambushed by a Renegade Viper/Viper Raider while sunskimming, and engaged a pursuit in the outskirts of the star's corona. Was kind of stabbing into fog. Would have been even more spooky with some roids around, but hey, I don't complain.
Also tried out the new caps-lock free view thingy! Great stuff, thanks!

Re: Screenshots
It was a coincidence. The system where I first tested the Spicy Hermits is a very unsafe system, probably the unsafest I've ever been to. I think, these situations can occur when you avoid (and not kill!) the assassins waiting for you at the witchpoint, but it's too rare to be more specific.Cody wrote:Fritz mentioned this sort of thing in the Spicy Hermits thread - but I ain't running Spicy Hermits.
"You wouldn't kill me just for a few credits, would you?" – "No, I'll do it just for the fun!"

Re: Screenshots
There were no assassins at the WP, which after a 6.4ly jump from Anisinza surprised me. As you say, it's rare - probably the first time I've seen it.Fritz wrote:I think, these situations can occur when you avoid (and not kill!) the assassins waiting for you at the witchpoint, but it's too rare to be more specific.
I don't think it's linked to evading the WP assassins - that's something I do all the time. I only splash assassins when I absolutely have to!

Re: Screenshots
Damn it!
There I was, finally having some time to get my version of the fer-de-lance closer to release (just text and packaging now, I think), feeling quite pleased with it, and then you go and post this...
Seriously though, that's a great shot of a fabulous model.

Re: Screenshots
That is Griff's original FDL model. I have that and the two newer incarnations in my ooniverse. The pirate variants love to break out of the pack and run after me on injectors. A dangerous lot, are they.

When hyperjump countdown started 72 fighter pilots try to dock at once in panic.

Approaching dock at the Torus station in Diesenan (G6) in my Cobra Mark III-XT, where I'm about to be made 25k poorer by repairing my broken cloaking device.

Re: Screenshots
Too cheap, is that - should be at least 50k, I reckon.

Re: Screenshots
If they require it Grand Master C, I find it heartening to know that a good many players can pop the hood and adjust the fix price.
Personally these days I'm simply not challenged unless I have this little puppy installed....

This is fantastic, having huge flashbacks to playing X-Wing vs Tie Fighter (man, I miss my sidewinder gamepad) looking at that screenshot, smashing modelling and texturing on that Star Destroyer!Norby wrote:When hyperjump countdown started 72 fighter pilots try to dock at once in panic.
awesome screenshot, the lighting in Oolite is really beautiful, fantastic planet texture and ship model/texture toophkb wrote:
