oolite-saves folder

Post by Kermitsy »

Can anybody tell me how to access my oolite-saves folder please. I can find it in Oolite/oolite.app but that only shows a Snapshots folder with a couple of images in it. I'm using Oolite 1.82

They should be in Oolite/oolite.app/oolite-saves - which OS? Windows? Do they appear in-game (under Load Commander)?

Thanks for your response. I'm using Windows10. I've been trading steadily since I started Oolite about 3 weeks ago. I've now got over 300,000 credits and would be very upset if somehow I managed to lose the saved game so I am trying to back up my saved games on a memory stick but I don't seem to be able to access them. I haven't looked at your suggestion re checking in the game itself but I will do tomorrow

I wonder if Win10 has hidden files (probably), and would that affect Oolite saves? It shouldn't, but I know zilch about Win10 (I use Win7).

I use Windows 10 but my saves are in the path you listed. I took a quick look through my User folder and didn't see anything Oolite related so I don't think there's anything funky going on there.

The save folder can be anywhere if you change it, and the game remembers the changed location.

Look in the file \oolite.app\GNUstep\Defaults\.GNUstepDefaults - there you can see which "save-directory" has been used.
