So i bought a joystick.
A logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Nice.
Quickly went from harmless to average
Then i noticed, in the y axis, when i pull the stick all the way back slowly.. there was a norchy-ness near the very end of it's travel. And when i pushed it all the way foward slowly... same thing.
So i returned the joystick. The store was happy to exchange it.
When i got home.. the new stick done the same thing... straight out of the box...
So i was wondering, has anyone else who has this stick noticed a clunkiness/notchiness.. is it a design fault.
Or should i try to return it one more time?
Joystick woes

Re: Joystick woes
There is a slight 'clunk' as you describe on my 3D Pro, but it's four years old now and I cannot say whether it's always been there.
You could perhaps ask the Logitech Forums - someone there may have a more informative answer for you.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Re: Joystick woes
done that. dont hold out much hope of a proper response.
a google of the issue turned up a similar question with the logitech mod replying that the problem was not hardware but was a calibiration issue...

Re: Joystick woes
A calibration issue, eh? Hmm... not too sure about that, but I'll try it with Logitech's own software later.
Thing is, it doesn't seem to affect performance in any way, and for a budget 'stick, it is good value.
