Ninth planet?

Post by Cody »

Respectable boffinry, at the very least.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

F*** android crashs killed my post! recreating:

I haven`t read the whole paper, but I'm sure they find good reasons and reasoning for their theory. But we still can't be sure if really a undiscovered gartheting of mass (planet) is the reason for that unexplained clustering effect in the cuiper beld. It could have a number of reasons, some by effects we(mankind/science) didn't come up with yet. We're taking about a region where the gravimetric influence of the sun becames quite weak. Though it's overall dominating, outer influnces could also be at work. Passing objects, strong gravity waves(if existing), galactic alignments, ect. Maybe they are chasing shadows (some sort of gravimetric focal point). That said ' just to be on the safe side. ;)
In first place calling a natural clustering by chance with a propability of , was it 0.007%?, as an alternative thesis...well,that's kinda...is that the acual explanation up till now? wow.

So a ninth planet, maybe extra solar and cauth, is a fine explanation, if the found data doesn't conflict with it. If something striped in the jungel is killing cattle, it makes sense to look out for a tiger, instead of trying to discover a new race of predator zebra.

Right, own up here...

Who left a cruiser parked with the artificial gravity field still running? You know those things leak gravity if left stationary too long!
The act of talking b*ll*cks whilst waving one's arms about wildly is referred to as testiculation.

Tis Planet X,,,Nibiru,,,I knew the buggers were coming back, they left so many here in the first place, Stitchin and Von Dangly knew exactly what they were making up . David Yikes, the Reptilian Agenda is true, as sure as I am sat here on the Penny Dreadful.

Oh and while I am on the subject of cospiracy theory ... What is with the mind games entitled "Item not recognized .Please wait for assistance" Express check out ...My Harris.

Unsurprisingly, conspiracies have a tendency to unravel - boffinry here.

Of course, what he's really shown is that conspiracies that get revealed by whistleblowers have a high chance of being revealed. He really needs to include some undiscovered conspiracies in the numbers to get a better estimate.

Bletchley Park, by his numbers, should have stayed secret perhaps 5-10 years after the war at best, rather than the 30ish it did, for instance.

(As the author notes, the numeric argument won't convince a believer in a false conspiracy anyway - to which I'd add there are generally better arguments than the numeric one even for cases where it would work)

so from this we can surmise that a conspiracy that is most likely to succeed is one that involves a small number of people? So small conspiracies are more likely to succeed than big ones. Well that sounds reasonable.

Using this principle is it possible to design a big conspiracy that is a collection of small conspiracies fitted together. That way you can limit the knowledge base of each individual conspiracy. Hmm I'm thinking too much for monday.

Hey Planet Nine fans, a new eccentric KBO was discovered. And it is exactly where Planet Nine says it should be.
Possibly interesting news (article at El Reg).
