Every now and then Oolite hangs while docking. The sound continues. Nothing happens on the screen. There is no reaction to any input.
Sometimes I get something on the console like
*** Error in `./oolite.app/oolite': double free or corruption (!prev): 0x000000000e32e220 ***
System is a 64 Bit Debian 8.2 with Nvidia-Graphics.
Any hints how to hunt down the cause? Or a workaround?

Re: crash while docking
I can't help with the problem, but just to check, you're running Oolite 1.82, yes?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Re: crash while docking
I do the oolite-update quite regularly:
===
# oolite-update
Trying rsync://terrastorage.no-ip.info/oolite-linux-64...
Commander Getafix welcomes you to the Oolite Nightly rsync server!
...
Your installation will now be synchronized to the latest nightly build.
...
Your Oolite installation is already up to date.
Any missing or altered Oolite installation files have been restored.
===
I just went through my AddOns and I noticed I still have one outside the new in-game-AddOn-system:
the railgun.oxp
I deactivated it and so far I had no crashes. I will leave it that way for a while, although I love firing with them while the lasers are overheated
Let's see whether this will solve the problem and then I will contact the maintainer of the railgun.oxp .
By the way: Does anybody know why it is not in the in-game-OXP-system so far?

Re: crash while docking
Looking in the wiki, the last version was made for Oolite 1.75 in November 2013, but the add-on system was added with version 1.79 afaik. So it seems quite possible that the OXP isn't compatible with newer versions.

Re: crash while docking
Still, no OXP should be able to cause the game to crash. If Railgun is doing this, then there is probably something that needs fixing in core. In such case, finding a reproducible scenario that causes the crash to happen would be a good start in squashing this.
