Get the Comms readout dates right.
Is there a way so that if you have a voice set to read out comms (the synth) that the dates could somehow be read differently? Currently I am told docking will expire 2million...etc.

Re: Get the Comms readout dates right.
That's not the only problem. A ship name (or callsign) like "TE-123" is read as "tea hundred-and-twenty-three", and ship names containing "II" or "III" are read as "roman two" or "roman three".
But why is it "Cobra mark three" and not "Cobra mark roman three"? Because there is a file "speech_pronounciation_guide.plist" which controls some of these things. I haven't made experiments yet, but at least some of my problems could be solved with it.

Interesting, so could an oxp replace that with a better list then?

I don't know. It isn't documented on the wiki, so OXP programmers probably aren't supposed to change or expand the file, and as I said, I didn't make experiments yet.

IIRC that was one of the last plists I added to the game, but like all the others it's there to be tinkered with. I guess it's not documented in the wiki because noone got around to documenting it.

And I, when I have the family part of Christmas behind me...
IMHO capital letters should always be pronounced as separate letters, and numbers with three or more digits as separate numbers. But the date is a special case because the first "2 Million" part doesn't have separating characters. I don't even know how it should be pronounced!
