To find your ship at base you request docking and then use your compass to try and find the right garage.

This really raises the question if they want to solve the issues in one game before they propagate them in the next one.
To me this seems somehow similar with the poor searching through the galaxy map, where you cannot select a specific system named COL[numbers], HIP[numbers] (and so on) by just placing its unique name in the search box.

One of my pet hates is that it seems to be totally random as to which HIP etc you get, but it's never the nearest one! It should work via a drop down (ordered by distance) so that you can select the one you want.

Ooops!
Seems that because I was using my fix for this, I disregarded checking it for a (long) while. They fixed it!
Now I can get rid of all the galaxy map screenshots that kept track of all the systems of interest for me (through the three numbers in the corners of the squares).

An Alphabet Bobblehead pack? Good grief!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

So I've just finished upgrading ED and thought I'd have a quick spin out in my buggy before going to bed, only to find I've spent the last 4 hours upgrading to 1.5 instead of Horizons. Buggrit!

<chortles> Four hours? For the wrong game? Ouch! Two games that share the same universe (apart from PL), yes?
Having done a format/Windows re-install at the weekend, I don't even have the launcher installed... yet!

I guess the two versions have a lot in common, because the Horizons upgrade has just finished in about 15 minutes. Buggy time!

Horizons took sixty-eight minutes to install, from scratch. The latest nVidia gfx drivers are next, I suppose - ho-hum.
The good news is the launcher is no longer predominantly orange - instead, a rather cool shade of blue now prevails.

Pity the 'orange' dashboard still over writes my 'cool' blue custom version every update ...

Their slavish adherence to the orange theme really irks me... always has. Even the damn forum is orange!
The code is in there for alternatives, but they refuse to implement it... someone likes orange, obviously.

Didn't take long for Steam to downgrade ED Horizons to Early Access.

And for reviews to slaughter it. http://steamcommunity.com/app/419270/re ... r=toprated .

No time for a proper message - my latest tweet:

Interested in searching and exploring the Milky Way in stunning and Accurate Detail? Astronomers wanted! https://shar.es/1Gh93r #SkyAtNight

This is a link to an excellent article on Space.com and interview with David Braben talking about the Stellar Forge background simulation of the Milky Way.
