Should be fixed in tonights build. Let me know if there are any more problems.
Working well, thank you!

Ahh - does it in-flight too!
No, that was put in by cim back in April. I'm not sure it's meant to have that "more" thing smack in the middle of it, though...

Downloading in Expansion Pack Manager not working with 1.83-151002.
Hangs on unknown of unknown when trying to update the list.
Works fine with 1.83-150908 however.
1.83-151002 cannot download from this updated list, but 1.83-150908 can.
Using a Mac.

Looking at the changelogs on github, there does not seem to have been any change related to OXZ management in at least the last month to forty days. Can you try to re-update the list? I think you may have hit the daily server-down-for-backup moment with the latest trunk build.

It works with those from 150908 or earlier
but not for 150918, 150924 & 151002
looked in the log & got this when trying to update expansion list for these three.

Code: Select all

16:07:38.188 [oxz.manager.error]: Error downloading file: Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1022 "The resource could not be loaded because the App Transport Security policy requires the use of a secure connection." Which means nothing to me. Is it a problem at my end? Recently upgraded to OSX10.11

No problem at me under Linux so probably MAC only. Here is MaddTheSane's answer:
Apple wants you to use https. There is a way to add an exclusion for specific domains in the info.plist file.
So maybe help if you add http://www.oolite.org and wiki.alioth.net (for most oxzs) into your info.plist somehow.

@Venator Dha: Had a quick look on the net and maybe found something related. Can you please try adding this to the game's info.plist file and see if that resolves the issue?

Code: Select all

<key>NSAppTransportSecurity</key>
<dict>
    <key>NSAllowsArbitraryLoads</key>
    <true/>
</dict>

So it would appear to be a recent change in Apple's App Transport Security policy that's the culprit. Probably tied to a recent update to the OS.

In which case, there's a chance this will affect not only trunk, but also 1.82, when trying to add OXZs. Could some Mac person check this, please?
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

1.82 is fine for me, as were older 1.83 trunks, just the recent ones have/had a problem. Don't ask me why :)

yes it an issue with the mac update, we have had a bit of trouble at work with users that have updated not being able to connect to our multifunction devices via ssl.

i think it might be related to the ssl key length changed to 2048..... we are having to firmware update our machines to cope with the users that use macs...

fortunately its not many sites. most dont want to pay for postscript support..lol
