2015 Ig-Nobel awards

Post by Smivs »

Yes, it's that time of year again.
Pick of the bunch for me this year is Cornell University graduate student Michael Smith, a joint winner of the physiology and entomology prize for allowing honeybees to sting him in 25 places to discover where it hurt more.
The worst places, he concluded, were the nostril, the upper lip and the penis.
"A sting to the nostril is so painful it's like a whole body experience," he said.
So, keep Bees away from your face (and elsewhere)!

<sighs> The absolute mierda that some so-called scientists get up to never ceases to amaze me!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

He couldn't just ask experienced apiarists? Truly a deserving winner.
"Would somebody stop that bloody music!"

I hope this man writes up his work. I would hate to see an increased sample size.

What about the scientists that found the most sensitive parts on a woman's body?

You don't need a scientist to do that...anyone can tell you it's her ears!

You're just jealous because you haven't any, Smivs.

Ears, that is. What did you think I meant?

Remember you need to keep being nice to me if you want that blue Cobra 2...

Or I could, y'know, edit the texture files. :p The original Cobra II didn't come in blue or with my personal livery on it, either. (Which I'd have to add in any event, even if you do produce it in blue.)
