Fuel Scoop

How exactly do I use the fuel scoop to pick up canisters? I used to run into them but didn't work but that was before I had the scoop tho.

Experiment...

Make sure you have cargospace left, and then fly 'over' floating cannisters, splinters, scrap metal and escape pods

Each ship has its scoops on the underside of the fuselage, but on slightly different places so it's hard to say exactly how much you have to fly 'above' floating stuff...

You can also use it for sunskimming fuel (duh)

Ramming stuff at high speed usually works too, as long as you keep it in the bottom half of the screen.
