Looking into your .apk I see you use the old ship models and texture layouts so theoretically you can add the beautiful textures of Smivs' Classic Ships for more variety in ship paintings.
Hrrr... Ok, forget trimming... I'm uploading a new set of recorded videos right now (it'll take about an hour or so). You can find them in the media section, once the upload is complete (http://alite.mobi/media).
The sound quality is actually a little better than before, so I think they're alright
@Norby: Yep, "theoretically", I can use any texture set made for the old ships. And once the source code is released, you can, too , and once (limited) OXP support is integrated into Alite, you should be able to upload any ship-oxp (minus shaders, though).
Thanks for the gameplay vids. I tried to run it on Bluestack and Xemarin but both Android emulators had problems. Shame I have an Iphone only . But We have Unknown on IOS which is also a Elite version although not as nice as this.
Alite has some Element I would like to see ported too Oolite:
Icons,
Equipment icons (also animated they are nice)
Night lighting on the night side of planets.
Installing. Good to have this around when I leave for a dull business trip next week...

No, there's no exit option in Alite. Pushing home will pause Alite. If you want to remove it from memory, you'll have to swipe it from the 'currently running apps' view.
I've just uploaded Alite 1.1 --- the Blue Danube remix by Chris Huelsbeck is now in the game as well...
Some minor bugfixes have found their way into this version, too. Controller support is NOT in it (yet).
Nexus 9 users, however, must still use this version from the web-site: http://alite.mobi/sites/default/files/A ... SFI-N9.apk -- it's still pretty bad, as objects regularly disappear (for reasons I don't understand, yet). I'm working on it... Sorry!
So, if you want to take parts of it and make an oxp from them: Be my guest . The license of Alite is GPL (v3).
I am planning on writing a set of tutorials on the architecture of the source code and the main ideas behind specific classes, but I have to take care of some real life things first... (In other words: Time for hobbies is currently rare). So, please do take a look and if you have any questions, you can always ask them at the alite.mobi forums.
