Paying fine and clearing record at secondary stations fails.
Yesterday I accidentally must have hit and/or destroyed a GalCop , and so I visited the Galcop precincts at my next stop, the Axtech Coriolis in the same system of Zaonce. The terminal informed me I had to pay a fine of 6000 ₢ to clear my record, so I used the Pay the fine option. But my record did not get cleared. Confused, I checked the terminal again, the same message and fine, paid again, and still not cleared. So at last I went to the Main Station, repeated the procedure, and this time, after a third 6000 ₢, I finally had a clear record once more.
I thought someone might like to know.

Sounds like OXP stuff.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Moving my previous post from here to OXP eternity sounds like above my play grade. Unless you care to specify how I could effect such a change?Cody wrote:Sounds like OXP stuff.

That sounds a lot like a core bug as the mission screen in question seems to be a core screen.
Re: Paying fine and clearing record at secondary stations fa
I'm fairly sure at least the first two and probably all three are OXP - secondary stations in core Oolite do not apply fines (there's a TODO note there since 2012 to potentially allow this in future).
I suspect Life in the Frontier is the OXP in question.

Either repost your post's contents in the appropriate thread (see above), or use the report function, and request the thread be moved.Mazur wrote:Moving my previous post from here to OXP eternity sounds like above my play grade. Unless you care to specify how I could effect such a change?

But that still leavews the matter of which[/b/] OXP thread to move it to: is it a bug of the GalCop code, that doesn't honour a payment made at the secondary stations? Or is it a bug of "Stations for Extra Planets" OXP? Or is it a bug of the OXP that allows one to roam a station and visit hte GalCop precinct, and accepts the money at the terminal without clearing the status, if the station is secondary?Cody wrote:Either repost your post's contents in the appropriate thread (see above), or use the report function, and request the thread be moved.Mazur wrote:Moving my previous post from here to OXP eternity sounds like above my play grade. And which in which OXP are the above things created or modified?
There are a number of OXP that create extra Stations: "Stations for Extra Planets", "Superhubs", "Yout Ad Here", "Roco Hermits", "The Collector:, and so on. They all look the same once disembarked. All allow one to visit a GalCop precinct, go to the terminal, view rhe required fine and pay it there.
To me that suggests either the GalCop code (accepting the bribe, eh, fine) or the Visit the Station code is responsible, and in both cases I would not be sure which OXP that's in. So feel free to move this thread to the appropriate spot, but quit busting my balls without pointing me in the right direction, please. After all, I'm only trying to help.

Ah, yes, sorry, mistakenly thought I did not have the OXP mentioned by cim even installed, so discarded that suggestion wrongly as irrelevant.Cody wrote:<scratches head>Mazur wrote:... but quit busting my balls without pointing me in the right direction, please.
Mea culpa, mea mxima culpa, for being a complete and utter total dickhead, there.

Thankee kindly, good Sir!Cody wrote:<chortles> No worries, amigo!
And I'm happy to say, that when I shot at a Red flagged vessel with a clean record near the Coriolis, where I had to deliver my passenger, I was able to flee for my safety from the GalCops, safely dock at a secondary station, pay my fine and deliver my passenger in peace once more.
Not sure which OXP I recently installed made clean ships attack me (with an equally clean record), but since I usually don't initiate the fight, I'm not too upset.

I suspected the target scanner upgrade, but I remove that OXP again.

If you've been taking certain passenger and parcel contracts, that might bring you to the attention of some figures who pay to have you eliminated. That usually means you end up fighting a bunch of "clean" assassins at the witchpoint beacon in particular, just after you arrive in system. I doubt the target scanner upgrade did it to you.

I have to agree, there, as I still have the same eager young pirate-wannabees-with-a-trust-fund gunning for me off and on. I have simply switched to Darwinian winnowing of the pirate cadets, taking the "Please note that GalCop does not condone the killing of innocent pilots." comment as welwilling misdirected criticism. I've got 50 scalps, now, and about 150k profit, most of which is in my ship, so my most social concerns have been shot off by unwarranted laser fire by now. Let their mothers weep and their fathers tear their hair out, if they had done a better job of providing their sons and daughters with better examples and philosophies, they still would have lived.phkb wrote:If you've been taking certain passenger and parcel contracts, that might bring you to the attention of some figures who pay to have you eliminated.
