[Solved] Use release or release-deployment as makefile ta...

Post by Lone_Wolf »

Since i installed archlinux official oolite 1.82 package, i see [oxp-standards.xxx] : yyyy messages in latest.log.

I think this is only supposed to be there in a developers build (or after editing logcontrol.plist which i haven't done yet )

I checked the archlinux PKGBUILD, and it uses make -f Makefile release just as it did for 1.80 (and earlier versions).

Looking in the Makefile, i see a release and a release-deployment target.

It looks like the release target creates a developer build, does release-deployment target create a non-dev build aimed at normal users ?

EDIT :

both release & release-deployment have "builds a release executable in oolite.app/oolite" as description.

Affirmative... and you are right, we need to update that description!
