Joypad hats/joystick up/down/left/right menu

As a joypad user, it would be really nice if the hats could be configured for use in menus and a button could be configured for Return/Enter.

I use the Dpad, it's the best flight control. I switch the wiggly things off (except for the "press" option which is another button).

I often imagine that when docked some interfaces are operated from inside the ship, and some others require the pilot to exit his ship.
So, I second your suggestion for the interfaces operated from inside the ship
