Hi,
I just installed 1.8 and started to add some expansion packs via the in game menu.
I do not seem to be able to find where they have gone.
When I installed 1.8 I chose install location "oolite-1.8".
Is that the problem or something else ?
cheers

Re: install location
What OS is this on? On Windows, the managed packs install location is <GameLocation>\oolite.app\GNUstep\Library\ApplicationSupport\Oolite\ManagedAddOns.
Nitpick: It's 1.80, not 1.8. In the world of software versioning, the two are completely different.

Re: install location
Find the GNUstep folder. Where this is may depend on your O/S and installation. Inside you will see three folders, Applications, Defaults and Library. The Library is what you want. Open it, then open Application Support, then open the Oolite folder and you will find the ManagedAddOns.

Re: install location
hi,
is the .oxz file the only required file for the expansion ?
can I manually remove it/put it back ?
can I move my windows saves and expansions to a Linux installation ?

You can, but it is generally not recommended to toy around with managed expansions outside of the in-game Expansion Manager (that's why they are called managed after all, the game takes care of them for you). If you want to do things manually, using the standard OXP structure in AddOns might be a better option.can I manually remove it/put it back ?
Yes you can. Even to a Mac installation if you want to.can I move my windows saves and expansions to a Linux installation ?
