Fuel Frames

For the first time ever I came across a ship towing 4 "fuel frames". They were large and had names and a clean status.

Does anybody know what these are? I'm surprised that I never came across them in years of playing Oolite!

The Kiota solar stations have to get the fuel that they collect out to the other stations somehow... ;)
