Got your suggestions. Added a bunch to the list and gave you thanks
Thanks Mossfoot. You might want to do a quick formatting scan of the list, 'Tick Hole is attached to 'These Parts' and it looks like 'Licker' is missing from 'Rock Licker/Rock Hopper'. Thanks for including 'Fly Catching', I quite like that term (from the NZ slang terms list).
Fixed the formatting, thanks.
I'd actually meant to get rid of "rock licker" because I don't want to get too bogged down in alternate terms (which is starting to happen, I'll need to start being far more selective ).
By all means, get rid of it (unless you did - I can't access ED forums where I am at the moment to see). 'Rock Hopper' works so much better in this context, as space explorers don't actually get there hands (and tongues ) dirty jumping from planet to planet, system to system and letting a scanner do all the work. The term comes from geologists that wet dry rock chips or core with there tongue to better see the minerals in them because it was easier than getting out their water bottle. Drillers and miners twisted it to mean 'tasting the minerals'. Drillers - being on the rougher side of mining - would sometimes urinate on the drill core hoping to see a geo lick a piece of it
Heh.. with a rapidly-moving target as the correct answer, no less!
Yeah, ain't that the truth! A nice bag of goodies on offer though! Think of a number!
In other news, it seems that someone has done the Triple Elite thingy:
I Started with exploration first, Grantly the most hardest Elite of the 3. Took me 30 days to Get elite in Exploration, Then Trading which took me 18-19 days to get elite in (I reached a point where I was making 70 million credits per day) Then Finally Combat where I was able to do 600 kills per day right off the bat, The last 3 days I did 800 kills, 700 kills and 700+ kills respectively. (which took me 14 days)
<shakes head sadly>
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
An interesting take on this strange naming is in the works, not canon but then when your dealing with time dilation both linear AND separative quantum time travel, you might as well load up canon and fire it out the nearest window.
We shall give oolite a future. Oh yes and in so doing iron out all the problems of the past. (because, well you know; you've go to aim for the stars with these sorts of things).
After a year of bleating, cajoling, demanding, pleading, starting numerous threads and polls, the external view fanatics finally have their wish - kinda! <sniggers> For the latest Beta version <sighs> FD have unlocked the debug camera, which is a simple fly-by cam - not unlike cim's camera drones - that one can steer.
For the record, my Cobra MkIII appears to be mostly metallic blue. I refused point-blank to pay £10 for that lovely limited-edition chrome skin, you see!

Don't blame you, I wouldn't either. Nothing wrong with blue - I drive a blue car and like the colour. Easier to hide with a darker skin, who wants to have a shiny one that just says "come and get me, I'm easy to see" (unless that's what you want to do ). Though I suppose there isn't an in-game disadvantage to a chrome skin when trying to sneak around.

Against NPCs, probably not. You can generally see ships well before your scanner locks on, though, so if you're trying to hide from players it might make a difference.
I notice in the bug fix list that the excessive dust inside the Adder is going to be cleaned up. I didn't realise that was a bug ... between that and the rather unpleasant creaking noises it makes when asked to do anything I just assumed they were built cheaply or the previous owner had never vacuumed and there was several kilos of dust in the air recyclers.
