Victim 11 missions query

Post by Paladin Tux »

So I installed Victim 11 and tried 5-6 times before completing it. So once I completed it I decided to get rid of the 10,000 credit bounty on me. Where did that come from?!

On my fourth try I rescued 3 of the four pods and I emergancy witchspace to the nearest system. I docked and got a message saying that the guild was disappointed in me and had another assingment at the unreachable system Orstrait or some thing (south west chart 8 ). The guild told me they had fitted equipment that allows me to get there.

So after I cleaned the 10,000cr bounty (now that is mysterous) I restarted the mission and deliberatly scooped 3 pods and witched outta there. I am now at Bired chart 8 thinking that I might need to use the gal drive pods I am going to buy at the closes SecCom (75%).

Has anyone else been here? Have you completed the mission this way? Plus did you also get the 10,000cr bounty?

Oresrati, eh? They ain't very pleased with you, amigo! <awaits Leafy>
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I wanted to have a scenario for a failure that would suit the Guild. So I thought of something 'special' for it.

The bounty is for attacking the protected ship. You were trying to murder/kidnap the occupants. The life of an Assassin is not exactly one that is law abiding. Did you launch from Oresrati? If so what happened? If not could you go there and do that part please.

One last thing: What did you think of the mission? You done in your WonderWorm yes?

Assassins II is a very long term project right now. I won't say it is shelved, I still have a look at it from time to time but it may be a while.

Ok then...

*Launches from Oresrati*

*Outer hull breach. Main functions offline*

Ha! Good thing I didn't save there!

I did it in a WonderWorm. Very hard. Shot it with my back laser first then turned to front till it exploded. I scooped then inject. Injected back, scooped and inject ect.

Very well done. Though the thing at Oresrati could be save game breaking. Do we get an explaination of how it happened or do we have to guess?

Well, in the Readme I do warn the player to keep a saved game and do it often. So if someone doesn't read it, then they might have an issue. But if that turns out to be the case it can be fixed very easily. The mission screens provide ample information to allow the player to work out what happened. The price for failing the Guild is quite high!

But I'm glad you liked it. With Assassins II, I want all missions to have a chance of failure. The 'extra mission' to Oresrati is what will happen.

As they should! If/when you eventually need a test-pilot, don't call me - I've retired. <grins>

I'll step up! I am the only on with a natural uber ship. Though I still can play in an Adder.
