Doing the actual mission only rewards you the kills and 1K. But Capturing the rotted blaggard is considered a side bonus. Personally I like the fact it doesn't highlight it and leaves it as somewhat an easter egg.
I like surprises!
I wouldn't worry about the kill count being hidden as changes like that only happen if a lot of players are requesting it with very few naysayers. And as it stands I think the Nay's have it.

Even if the naysayers lost, i expect it would only take a very short time before an oxp/oxz was released that shows the kill count.Fatleaf wrote:I wouldn't worry about the kill count being hidden as changes like that only happen if a lot of players are requesting it with very few naysayers. <chuckles> Of that I am sure the oxp/z would be released before even the testing has been finished on the Trunk nightlyLone_Wolf wrote:Even if the naysayers lost, i expect it would only take a very short time before an oxp/oxz was released that shows the kill count.

I like to think of this mission as a Darwinian experience...
think about the quote that talks about bricks in your pockets.... this is a brick. sink or swim....
you are no longer in the kiddie pool safely paddling in ankle deep immersion. There could be more missions like this as you progress in skill.... not long but short, sharp and rewarding.

Bartle tester says while I am drinking evil juice, I am: 80% killer/ 80 % achiever/ 33% explorer and 0% socializer.
Re: constrictor mission bonus
I've gone into bounty hunting and looking back, there is a severe mismatch between difficulty and reward of Constrictor and bounty hunter missions. Well, bounty hunting is an OXP (random hits) and Constrictor is core game, but ... honestly. The game's principle is, that your status is dependant on the number of kills. If it was dependant on real skill, it could easily make a player Elite at least after 1000 kills, since one is usually able to cope with anything the core game has to offer at that point. But no, it's simply counting boring kills. A Pitviper scores 1, so does a shuttle. So why reward 256 kills for a single constrictor kill? Acknowledging the fact you could cope with the ship and must be dangerous? Well then, after surviving a Thargoid ambush, make me Elite then
