what have you added to your Ooniverse?

i know there are threads about what Commanders have added to there Ooniverse but most of them are quite old. Since the changes to 1.80 i was wondering what sort of additions to the Ooniverse you have added? which ships? what equipment? Do you keep it vanilla ? what missions if any do you add?

I am thinking of fleshing out my Ooniverse with more and varied ships but i want to avoid ones that unbalance the core game. So far I have only added "eye candy" like BGS,YHA, systems with rings, sunspots etc. I have added the Tiger Ray but have upped the TL where it appears and downgraded the chance of it appearing as i was suddenly inundated with Tiger Ray chatter on the coms...

Hardly any OXPs here at the moment (but then I'm not playing currently - working on the Classic Ships textures), but normally very few anyway.

some I'm not using yet, and obviously only 1 HUD at a time..currently trying Coluber HUD. i like it but i had to mod the cross hairs as per the authors thread.
personally I'm not too fond of the info clustered around the target crosshairs when in combat... i need to see where the bugger is hiding and having the gauges there in the middle doesn't help me as i get tunnel vision in a fight and forget to look at them where ever they are... i only seem to look when the laser stops firing...

still got a few HUDs to try... is there a graphic of what the MFD positions are? im trying to move the MFD;'s around but im having to guess the number to put them in... i want the comm log to the bottom left corner beside the main HUD?

Mostly eye-candy and ambience - I sail pretty close to the core game's mechanics (no missions, game-changers, or exotic ships).

Thanks cody some good ideas here. i remember having povray in my 1.77.1 game not sure why i havent added it yet. the first 3 sound interesting is hud toggle for screenies? what do the others add?

I can do, it will be quite a bit though. I liked the look of the HUD but not the arrangement so I basically moved most of them around and added 4 MFDs.

Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

<grins> The Hud Toggle toggles the hud on/off (I often fly without it) and the other two display one's bounty and one's contract rep.
