Would rather have plain paint jobs you don't have to pay with real money for.

Oh look it's an iMperial. I must have nodded off during the last keynote and missed it.

You've spoken too soon. Now it's Beta 1.06....to be fair to you it was a pretty quick update follow up.Pleb wrote:http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=41122

Indeed it was 1.06 before I'd even gotten home from work! Apparently 1.05 was buggy so another patch was released.Bugbear wrote:You've spoken too soon. Now it's Beta 1.06....to be fair to you it was a pretty quick update follow up.Pleb wrote:http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=41122

1.06, eh?
IIRC FFE became just about playable at the 1.06 stage...

New newsletter, Beta 2.0 announced for 30th September. Sounds promising let's just hope there isn't the same problems as the last update!

Looks nice, a bit Portal Two-ish, hopefully it'll get all that bright white toned down a bit as the design progresses towards final, otherwise those guys playing ED with the occulus rift are gonna have to try and fit some sunglasses onto it somehow

Well, at least when you're sitting in one of those chairs, there'll be a lot less white in your field of view..Griff wrote:hopefully it'll get all that bright white toned down a bit as the design progresses towards final, otherwise those guys playing ED with the occulus rift are gonna have to try and fit some sunglasses onto it somehow
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Not the sort of place you'd want to find yourself being chased by timber wolves while wearing socks ...Griff wrote:Looks nice, a bit Portal Two-ish, hopefully it'll get all that bright white toned down a bit as the design progresses towards final, otherwise those guys playing ED with the occulus rift are gonna have to try and fit some sunglasses onto it somehow
Re: David Braben's Elite: Dangerous
Hello fellow Ooliteers!
I thought I'd create a private group in E: D for us.
The aim is to do whatever everyone pleases, and still have a (small) chance of coming across a familiar Commander, say "Hi" & move on. Or maybe do a bit of exlorig / smuggling / mining / whatever together for a while, no strings attached. Also, I want everyone in the group treat other members at least as neutrals, if not outright friendlies.
So far you cannot name your group. If you're willing to join, search for a group by my forum name (which incidentally is my commander name too), I'll accept requests to join sporadically (RL permitting a few minutes E: D time).
This thread's ( http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=38362 ) OP has detailed info on how to find & join a private group, just switch "Mobius" to "Zieman" & forget the TS stuff, we'll use in game comms (probably text only).
See you out there, maybe!
