Just because I don't always have much to say doesn't mean I'm not still reading and enjoying the story. I am. I'm still eagerly looking forward to the next chapter too.

It's nice to get a snapshot of what life can be like station side... It's enough to make me wish it were possible to really explore the stations in-game.

Heh. I think I'm still averaging about twenty views per post, but my story style doesn't seem to encourage comments very often... so I'll keep plugging gamely onwards and hope my viewers aren't tuning in out of curiosity to see if the story's going to get any more interesting.

I think I mentioned that was the style I had a mind - a touch of Starship Troopers, a hint of Friday - and also a little Pournelle drawing on things like West of Honor and King David's Spaceship.

I've only got the 'Gunslinger' series of his on my shelf. My sister was the big fan. I grew up with Azimov, Aldiss, McCaffrey, Chalker, EE'Doc'Smith, also Herbert and Heinlen and a heap of others I've forgotton over the years.

I loved Starship Troopers. I am pretty sure I read Friday. But the others draw a blank... I would say, that I will have to look them up, but I seem to be too busy writing lately! };] And, I was right in the middle of reading Edgar Rice Burroughs Tarzan series for the 4th time too!

McCaffrey! The Dragon Riders of Pern were excellent, but I loved The Crystal Singer books even more!

Read many Jack L Chalker books too! As well as Dune
