OXZ's - which directory to sync?

Post by Crush »

Just returned to space after months of being trapped on some blue - green planetoid run by some particularly degenerate humanoid life forms.

I've just upgraded to 1.8 and discovered the brave new world of OXZs.

I play on several machines with different OSs and previously used Google Drive to sync my AddOns and oolite.app directories so I could play the same campaign on work machine (windows) and home laptop (linux), while obviously using different binaries.

So what directories do I need to sync now that Oolite is managing the OXZs for me?

I'm guessing oolite.app, but want to check before I find myself in some dreary hotel in Manchester without half my ship's kit missing.

Oolite/oolite.app/GNUstep/Library/ApplicationSupport/Oolite/ManagedAddOns/
Oolite/oolite.app/oolite-saves/

If you are running OXP's as well as OXZ's then you will still need to sync your Addons folder as well.

BTW, just to be pedantic you upgraded to version 1.80 not 1.8, in the world of software versions 1.8 came 72 versions ago.

Well, I'm synching the AddOns folder already, so it's just a case of clearing out the old OXPs (now done).

And yes you're right, I was mentally parsing string to float "1.80".to_f => 1.8
