Mission screen > long range chart loses background image
I just tried the nightly build with the new zoomable chart. Brilliant. Of course the first thing I did then was download Explorers' Club and try that. Going from the interface screen and changing settings on the mission screen exits to the long-range chart. But trying that, the chart is always zoomed in to short range, and more importantly, the text that was on the mission screen is still overlaid.

Re: Mission screen > long range chart leaves text on screen
I've just fixed a related issue - if you go to long range and then press F7, pressing F6 was jumping back to the short range screen instead of staying at the long range one. That may or may not sort the problem you were having with the chart jumping to short range.
I'm not having much luck reproducing the issue with the overlaid mission text. What key sequence do I press to get that?

Select Explorers' Club on the interfaces screen, and on the mission screen select one of the first three options regarding behaviour of the chart markers. That takes you to a confirmation mission screen showing your new settings, and when you press space there it exits to the chart screen.kanthoney wrote:I'm not having much luck reproducing the issue with the overlaid mission text. Re: Mission screen > long range chart leaves text on screen
As an aside, it doesn't depend on OXPConfig; Norby added an old version to the OXZ manager in my absence, and has control of the manifest, so I can't delete that dependency note. But that's neither here nor there; you have version 1.4.1 that works in Oolite 1.77, 1.80 & the nightly build I downloaded just yesterday. It should add an interface to the main station at startup. Is your save game docked at a non-main station? I have 14 months of catching up to do, back in my day we couldn't save at other stations. If that's not the reason, I'm mystified.kanthoney wrote:I must be doing something wrong here. I've installed Explorer Club and the OXPconfig dependency, but there's nothing showing on my interfaces screen:
It's not an OXP I'm familiar with - anybody got any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
Re: Mission screen > long range chart leaves text on screen
I just downloaded the one from the OXZ manager. So I got rid of that and downloaded 1.3.3 from the wiki - that didn't have an OXPconfig interface but also didn't have a system interface either.
Have you got a download link to the version you're using?

I was using the one in the download manager (1.4.1), too. But I've just created this, in case it was setting the interface on the wrong station. Now sets player.ship.dockedStation, rather than system.mainStation.

If you PM cim, he can transfer the manifests of your OXZs to your account..Wildeblood wrote:Norby added an old version to the OXZ manager in my absence, and has control of the manifest, so I can't delete that dependency note.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Finally got the right version installed, and both the issues with the overlayed text and the zoomed-in chart should be fixed in tonight's build.

But now exiting a mission screen to the chart screen, the background image is missing until you zoom with F6. I've just checked an image of the screen I saved last night, with overlaid mission text, and it has the background image. So I think you broke the background image when you fixed it being always zoomed in.

Oh, right, I know what that'll be. Should be fixed this evening.
Thanks.
Thanks.

BGS mapping misaligned
Just to mention that I've had to disable BGS mapping on the long-range chart, as the routes no longer align with the stars.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
