I've been thinking about MFD pricing and can't really make my mind about it. Combat MFD seems to be at 300, that feels a bit low and Cody suggested that Navigation MFD could cost over 1000, that feels a bit high. Some common agreement would help here and make the pricing easier for authors. In my pondering I have divided the MFDs into three categories.
1. MFDs that give you useful extra information.
* Combat MFD
* Market Inquirer MFD
2. MFDs that show you information that is accessible otherwise.
* Navigation MFD
* Manifest MFD
3. Logging / Fun info MFDs
* Trophy Collector MFD
* CommsLog MFD
* Useful MFDs
I think that the first category should be the most expensive one, but how expensive? around 1000? Second one ~600 and third ~300?
How does that feel?

Re: MFD pricing
Agreed.
Basically, category #2 is about not losing visibility in-flight while checking info otherwise available in the ship interface screens...

Re: MFD pricing
Agreed.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
