[Solved] Problem with file size in manifest.plist

Post by Smivs »

There appears to be a problem with the file sizes in the manifest.plist - they keep changing to nonesense numbers.
I became aware yesterday that all mine were wrong, so this morning I logged in and corrected them all, only to find that they are all wrong again. I believe others are having the same problem. Is this a problem with the manager?

Shouldn't this be in Testing and bug reports?

All the ones I've added seem fine.. you're not putting the size in quote marks or something, are you?

It should look like:

Edit: I just updated the master list in Oolite, exited the game and then checked the list, and all your OXZs are still showing a single digit for file size.. all the others though, are fine.

Umm.. sorry to have to ask this, but, after you change the filesize at http://www.oolite.org/admin/, you are remembering to click on the "Update manifest" button down the bottom of the page, each time, yes?
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Yes, I am.
I am entering the number (in bytes) so for Aliens I am entering '25,092,231' (without any quote marks) copied from the 'Properties' dialogue for the file. I am updating the manifest so it shows as 25,092,231 in the file-size field, and this is also showing correctly in the actual manifest.plist at the bottom of the page. Then I go back to the main menu, open the manifest again, and it's wrong

But when I remove the commas, it works!
