OXZ and different texture packs?
So 1.80 uses Griff's ships as base (nice). But I wanted to add in Neolite ships as an option, just to create some variety in the universe. I used the Addition pack rather than replacement, but it seems even that overrides the base ship pack? Because all the starting ships (other than Strict Mode) showed Neolite ships to start.

Re: OXZ and different texture packs?
Coincidence, perhaps? Do you see both sets in-game?
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
Re: OXZ and different texture packs?
The way I understand the Starting Options mode works, the ships shown on the Starting Options should be taken from the base ships (or Replacement), not any Additional ships.

Re: OXZ and different texture packs?
I can't duplicate this bug - I installed Neolite Addition, and no replacement shipset, and the three starting options (Normal Start, Tutorial, Strict Mode) all use the core Griff/CaptSolo ships.
Re: OXZ and different texture packs?
Maybe I'm overdoing the install... For some bizarre reason I am under the impression I need both 1.0 and 1.1 installed because the folders seem to be different... Maybe I can just use the 1.1s?

That would be a good idea.. multiple versions of the same OXP can lead to all kinds of issues.mossfoot wrote:Maybe I can just use the 1.1s?

Re: OXZ and different texture packs?
Only using 1.1 files now. That worked insofar as my default Adder is a Griff again, I have yet to see if it remains a mix of Griff and Neolite ships. All the ships in the store at Lave were Neolite, but that might have been a coincidence.
