Bounty on Escape Capsules....no more?

Post by milinks »

I'm playing on the Open Pandora console,(not that it makes a difference to the gameplay etc), but having had a very long gap from playing oolite and recently started playing again, one of the things i really enjoyed was scooping up the escape capsules of hostiles and getting the bounty. But recently, probably due to an oxp ive installed, it now only registers the capsules as slaves, with no more bounties :(
Ive put together screenshots of the oxps that have been either installed or reinstalled starting from the top down in recent order, and was wondering if anyone could help me as to why this is happening, maybe a conflict in oxps etc. My next step is to remove the oxps and start from fresh and see if i can find the culprit that way, hoping someone can help me regarding this before i get to that stage.

It's almost certainly the Neolite OXP - this thread explains. Assuming you want to keep the OXP, you'll need to edit the shipdata.plist and edit the escape capsule entry. Here's the suggested fix from that thread - the line number might be slightly different depending on OXP version.

The problem was fixed after changing line 2308 to ‘unpiloted = no;’ in shipdata.plist "escape-capsule" object. I did not have to change any other code.

Brilliant :) thanks for that cim... i was using a shipset, as on the Pandora due to restrictions, there isnt all the options available as on standard releases, with the lack of shaders etc. Howeveri have cheated and loaded the 1.79 resource folder into the released Pandora oolite file, which gives Griffs Shipsets as standard, so hpefully with deleting neolite things will be better all round, thanks again!:)
