Flashers?

Post by ArkanoiD »

I thought flashers are just a part of ship.. But i've seen something odd: a Galcop viper floating in space suddenly turned flashers on and ran to the void on injectors.. How could that happen?

The flashers on GalCop vipers are the equivalent of the flashing lights on a police car. They light them up when in pursuit or if called to a "situation" (e.g. a sale at the donut store :D ). I think what you saw is controlled by the AI for GalCop vessels.

Perhaps someone should design an orbiting donut store...
It is generally inadvisable to eject over the target you just bombed.

lol

Yes, the flashers on the vipers are turned on, when it turns aggressive towards a criminal.
Turned off when returning to partoll duty.
(using the switchLightsOn and switchLightsOff methods)

Usually players encounter vipers in their agressive mode.
