I have just finished my first OXP, and it seems to be working well for me. Anyone else wanting to have a look, heres the description. But basically, it allows for refuelling your ship "on the fly" when using the hyperspace drive and carrying radioactives

HyperSpace Fuel Recvery Unit by Dan3008
Based heavily on "Military Fuel Injectors OXP by Thargoid"
New from D3008 Industaries, the Fuel recovery system. This little addon can turn Thargoid's "Military Fuel Injectors" into fuel generators when traveling at hyperspace speeds. The simple addition of a scoop and specialised radiation collecting paint, when traveling at hyperspace speeds, fuel is generated. Now for our TV advert:

Well, now you can!! Thanks to our scientists at D3008 Industries all you
need is some radioactive isotopes in your cargo bay, activate your
jump drive, and watch that fuel guage fill.
Requires v1.75 or later of Oolite. It will not run on older versions.
Requires Military Fuel Injectors OXP by Thargoid (any current release)

Interesting concept.. unfortunately, I found Thargoids Mil'Injectors a bit problematic.. and I don't think he ever managed to iron out all the bugs..
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Cant say i've had any problems with it yet, but thats fine. Version 1.1.0 (the release i'm working on now) doesn't need it. Nice first work!
I think it should consume radioactives to be less uber, for example 1t = 0.1ly fuel.

Never thought of it consuming radioactives... at the moment, it produces 100th of a light year per radioactive. If its going to consume radioactives, I'll have to change that a bit, to avoid errors (oolite doesnt like 0.01 LY)...
maybe in a future update Athough, I'm working on a "radioactive 1/2 life" next so the 2 may just be linked lol
