I know this is a very old thread but I'm hoping that some of the people may still be around...

In Diziet Sma's post I can see where the changes go in the shipdata.plist for the headlight and scoop flasher, but I can't work out where the Scoop-Cam code goes.

Any ideas anyone? I'm playing version v1.77.1 which may have changed things since the original post.

Into the custom_views section for each ships:

Code: Select all

   <key>view_orientation</key>

   <key>view_position</key>
   <string>0.0 -3.5 20.0</string>
   <key>weapon_facing</key>
   <string>FORWARD</string>
 </dict>

What Norby said... and welcome aboard.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

G'day Andy, and welcome! 8)
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Thanks for the greetings and thanks to Norby as it all works now.

I also made the changes to enable the turrets but how do I know if the turrets are firing ?

I might be late to the party but I'm really enjoying it :D

Target an incoming bad guy and keep watching.. once they get within about 5-6 kilometres range, you'll see a hail of plasma balls start heading towards them.

(updated my scoop-cam post to avoid any more confusion)
