Escape pod

Post by davidmpratt »

Having moved to galaxy 5, my escape pod no longer works. Why, and how can it be restored to working order?

Did you die or use it recently? Sorry obvious question!

Has it been damaged during combat? If so it will appear on the status screen in orange with a N/A (not available) note. In this case it will be repairable via the outfitters (F3 screen).

Not damaged recently - does not appear on the status screen in orange with a N/A. Also not recently used, but I may have died recently (depends what you mean by recently). If I have died recently, when can I expect to get use of the escape pod back?

If you use it, don't you have to buy a new one?
I've never used mine!

Yes, you'd have to buy a replacement. A thought: if it's listed on F5 (meaning you have one), are you double-tapping the escape key?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

And when you don't like the double-tapping, you can edit the Secret settings and set escape-pod-activation-immediate to yes.

On the mac you also can keep the esc key pressed and key-repeat function will generate the double-tap. :)
