Well that sucks. My thoughts are with you and your wife. In times of hardship it is always good to keep in mind the place you want to be not the place you are at. So you have a goal to reach for. Your wife sounds like a great lady and a great support for such times. I'm glad you have someone so close to keep you in the land of the sane.

We will be waiting for your return.

Best wishes and a tip: read a lot about ketogenic diet. I see once a video report with many peoples who survived cancer by avoid eating any carbohydrate across months.

The background is simple: "cancer cells have a fundamentally different energy metabolism compared to healthy cells, and that malignant tumors tend to feed on sugar". Which mean to me we can survive long times by eating fat and protein only but these cells cannot. I am not a doctor so ask specialists but after reading these I think if you can eat meats only for months without bread (not a morsel) then you will be more healthy. Don't give up!

Thanks for all the kind well wishes. I have faith in the power of human kindness. Does such a thing exist? Who can say it doesn't? The beast in my head is inoperable but, unlike the poor Arab in "Lawrence of Arabia", my fate has not been written. There are grounds for hope and my attitude is positive.

Good News: Feeling much better and MD's say I've responded well to four weeks of radiation therapy. Bad News: Have had to give up smoking my one cigar per day, no whiskey at all, and a diet so totally different it will be more difficult than anything else I've had to give up. Chemo next up.

Good to hear the first round went to you! :D

Yeah.. the lifestyle changes are the hardest thing to get used to.. however, it beats the alternative! I've had to make a good few changes of my own, though not for quite such drastic reasons.. mine's more of a long-term killer disease.. and those lifestyle changes have gained me 20 years so far, with no ground lost along the way.

Keep up the fight!

So I'm assuming that if they can shrink the son of a bitch then they can whip it out? Frontal lobe is a bugger, it's the lock and key that holds the demons of impulse. I know several people who have beaten brain cancer. It's easy to think "that's it I'm f**ked!" maybe 30 years ago maybe. These days new treatments come out all the time.

I wish you strength, there will be good days and bad days but they are but days. They end and a new one begins. I'm glad you have people that love you close to you. They are the the walls you hold onto when everything else is trying to bead you down. You can beat this. I have faith in your determination.
