Okay, two new ships coming up;

Number 1 is non canon: The Stingray (haven't found anything like that on the ship page : http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Category:Oolite_ships so I am taking it:

The Stingray is what it says it is, small, nimble; and bada$$; something in the size of a Moray Starboat, haven't decided yet. Its role should be that of an escort ship for the Remora and something of a beefed up alternative to the cobra Mk1. A rich man's Krait !

Number 2 is canon: The Asp Mk2

Just to show you that the Stingray doesn't look anything like an Asp does, here's some screenies to prove it:

I always resize my screenshots to 800*600, but sometimes the forum keeps giving me an error when I want to add thumbs. It worked nicely with the Stingray, but the asp just refused (could not determine size of image error), therefore the big screens. My apologies.

My advice: When researching whether a ship name is already taken, it's always a good idea to search the boards as well. There's for instance eight search result pages full of references to stingray.oxp.

Ok my bad, but since there are different rays already, the Stingray Starboat akin to its less battlehardened sibling, the Moray Starboat, should be a fitting name.

Thanks, please post should you run into any others again.

The eagleradarbase.dat should be bbs_eagleradarbase.dat as a model name in the eagle mk3 subentity entry.
deleted the like ship entries on both eagles.

I was actually talking about releasing the first core ship: there's a big chance it's going to be the faithful Adder.

Yes the stations too, I don't know about changing the size yet, since I want to stay within Oolite gameplay specs. I don't want to create a station that is going to impede the regular Oolite traffic due to its size and break the balance. But they will be at least as big as Griff's stations.
