OK - for making video of computer games such as Oolite - what software are you using to capture the output? Then what are you using to edit it (iMovie? If so - are you able to capture the game's output to DV?)

Scarey, I was thinking something similar the other night.
I have an SVHS output on my machine, I just treat the recording device as another monitor on that. However that is rubbish if you intend to do any editting.
Need some sort of screen capture software - what OS are you wanting it for?
Update: Found this - http://www.capturepad.com/

Loads of possibilities there...

The act of talking b*ll*cks whilst waving one's arms about wildly is referred to as testiculation.

I'm using a pre-release version of iShowU to capture the footage (pre-release because the release version applies watermarks).
In the past I've used Snapz Pro X - but as I'm hard up for cash, once the test period ran out I gave up on that.
For the two short pieces, I just used Quicktime Pro to export the mp4, but for "Lave to Zaonce" I used iMovie.
