[POLL] When did you last play Oolite?

Re: [POLL] When did you last play Oolite?
I tend to play most days as I find it a good wind down from a stressy day at work. I also enjoy "doing a couple of planets" while I'm waiting for the dinner to cook in the evenings.

I took a sabbatical after Easter to concentrate on qualifying as a teacher. I'm done now so have been getting back into playing (and may even write another Commander Hammond story since the first three were so well received).
"Sidewinder Precision Pro" and other Oolite fiction is now available for Amazon Kindle at a bargain price.

Re: [POLL] When did you last play Oolite?
Lately, I'd have to just say "not often enough"..
But I've just done an OS reinstall on my main Oolite machine, as part of which I finally sorted out the mobo clock and bus settings properly, so as to get the maximum horsepower out of this old Athlon chip. CPU speed has now increased from 1.0 GHz to 1.8 GHz, so I'm looking forward to seeing the difference in performance in Oolite. Especially for witch-jumps, which have always been seriously laggy..

Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

haha, i see.
Just added you to my friends list there.
Sorry about being absentee here for so long.
My only excuse is finding a fulltime job and being otherwise very distracted by 'stuff'.

Re: [POLL] When did you last play Oolite?
Ha good to be back. This side of Riedquat is so much nicer!
I'm not really planning on playing much, actually I am planning on changing living location again...and I hadn't yet updated my new coordinates. hehe
Will probably be forced to do some playing anyhow if only for testing purposes.
Going to try to fulfill some of those ambitious projects I started in the waybackwhen.
Looking forward to some nice puzzling.
Also: E4:Dangerous I'm curious how that will turn out.

I was looking at the forum to another game the other day and it seemed the order of the day was to fling poo at each other.

You belong to a forum for that? Gosh, I'm impressed by your maturity and frankness. Mind you, once we guys get past a certain age I guess we just have to accept the inevitable, and it can't hurt to talk about it. After all, I'm not quite the firebrand I was thirty years ago...JazHaz wrote:This poll closed after a week. There aren't any women on these boards are there? You know, before I start swapping stories and all that.
