Admin help needed [solved]

I no longer have any access to my email address from when i registered. I wanted to update(add new email address) my profile but it asks for my password.
I cannot not remember my password and obviosly because I do not have access to my registering email address I cannot ask for password recovery

anyone able to help?

I think phpbb encrypts the user passwords, so its unlikely any admin can help recover the password.

EDIT: one other thing you can try, see if your browser's security settings will show you saved passwords. Depending on the browser of course. I think Firefox can do it, I've done it myself in the past.

Hopefully, a full Admin will be along soon, jacksy - they should be able to change your email address (or whatever is needed - I'd rather not tinker).

I am using Internet Explorer..any idea where I would look?

Hopefully, a full Admin will be along soon, jacksy - they should be able to change your email address (or whatever is needed - I'd rather not tinker).

If they can update the email address to my new one i should be ok

It's too many years since I used IE - but somewhere in Internet Options/Security perhaps...

Probably in Internet Settings, but just had a looksee on mine, and couldn't see how.

Me too nothing there i can see. Looks like i am reliant on the admins being able to update my email address.

A quick google tells me that IE requires third-party software to view stored passwords (they're down in the registry, I think), so probably not advisable.
