Disclaimer: I had no intention of writing a sequel to Coyote, had made no provision for one, plot-wise – but a certain sombreroed character gave me no peace, kept nagging me about loose ends. So I set about it, even though OXP work kept interfering. However, what I present here today ain’t anything like the sequel I started out to write. That had got to about halfway, when a character slapped me round the face one morning and gave me a good talking-to. Rarely one to naysay a beautiful woman, most especially an angry one, I deleted the whole thing there and then, thereby washing my hands of it – or so I thought. Of course, the nagging continued – on and off – so eventually I gave-in and started again from scratch. But this time, I wrote what I was told to write – bizarre though it is!
Any discontinuities and/or eccentricities are only to be expected – the space/time continuum known as the Ooniverse, of which I attempt to write, can be unpredictable.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
About time too! Right, I'm off... new things to do, new places to go. I'm being transported to a mysterious parallel universe, you see... a dangerous universe where the physics is arse-about-face. Still, they've promised me a fully-functional smart AI to do everything, fly the ship, etc... all I gotta do is sit back and enjoy the ride!
I think you must be getting soft in your old age, Cody.. that one only brought a thumpin' great lump to my throat!
VERY well done. I thoroughly enjoyed your little sequel.

Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
