Is there something wrong with the world?

Whilst lying awake this morning, I've been thinking that I'm getting some relevations/questions.

1) are we as members of the Frontier Developments forum, especially the ELITE DANGEROUS Forum actually helping or hindering your work to a) produce the game and b) improve the technology behind the game?

2) is the design decision forum etc making things harder for you guys?

3) are there other ways that we can help the process?

4) thinking along the lines of so called "cloud computing" do we not have the idea a bit backwards? shouldn't "you guys" as the clever ones be using "us - the masses" as your "cloud"?

5) if 4) is correct, then what do you want from us? brain power? computing power?

Please tell me, I'm very willing to help as otherwise I wouldn't leave any mark on my time as a member of society.
Are the human race in trouble? Are we doomed as a species?

I have a theory. There is something wrong with the world. It's not ours any longer.

The internet (which resembles a brain map), has become self aware. We are probably doomed!

My first thought on seeing the thread title: "Is this a trick question?"

There is far more wrong with the world than would occur to you in even your worst nightmares.. if you like sleeping soundly, I suggest you avoid the red pill.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Is there something wrong with the world?

No, the World is fine. I wouldn't say the same for the dominant species though

Look around some more.. the dominant species has delivered a severe kicking to all life on the planet. :x

For a mere starter, 90% of all large fish in the oceans are gone.

Crikey, JH... you've really got the mid-life crisis bad. Have you considered taking-up basket-weaving?

Apart from all that, everything is fine with the world, and we as a species are doing what comes naturally.

True, but the World goes on regardless. Asteroid impacts, global glaciation, dominant species acting irresponsibly, no worries. The World goes on and the species that survive these things evolve into something new and prevail.
The only real concern for the World is when the sun dies, and that ain't happening for a while yet (I hope!).

Now you might understand why I've been a little grumpy lately!

Thinking I'm going nuts! Publicly too. Not good.

What... a picturesque coastal village in south-east Devon is the solution? Damn... I stayed there once, but had no idea!

Think that was bad? I just had the day from hell. Everything that could go wrong did. Even the lights tripped out.

I'm hoping that's all of it.

I stayed there once too. Found that there was a model railway factory in the village and the day after we arrived was the Grand Opening for the railway tunnel. Somewhere I still have a real photograph of the mayor cutting the ribbon. That was a big holiday for a model railway kid (it was a big surprise for me)!

EDIT: just found a link to the railway's website. Brings back a lot of memories.

Aye, indeed it does... and the village itself is (was) lovely.
