Lave Radio Stockmarket

This is quite fun, a trading game based on the interface for Frontier/FFE, and a chat room.

And there's also a stockmarket analyzer:

I'm using it as training for E: D, as the market moves quite fast, hopefully like the markets will in E: D.

I confess I'm a bit disappointed that they've gone with generic commodities - all liquor is "liquor", no difference between rotgut cooked up in a centrifugal plastic bubble, and a 25-year-old single malt, cold-filtered on a planetary surface at 1G ... of course, there might be all sorts of specialised goods within these categories, in the game. Fingers crossed ... !

The stocks are the same as in Frontier I believe... not the ones proposed for E: D.

Not seen you enter the chat room Dis, unless you are known as Snakebyte (who's the top of the leaderboard and in there with me right now).

Nope, not me ... to be honest I'm not thinking much about E:D at all, although I've been following what Gimi's been posting from the DDF: I'm content to wait for it to come out!

That is mine. Knocked it up to teach me XML parsing in Javascript and also the feasibility of using SQLite3 instead of MySQL as a DB backend.

We're not worthy! That tool is great!
