ECM and missiles
When you shoot down a missile, your kill count increases by 1 (the number beside your rating).
Does the kill count increase if you destroy a missile by using your ECM?

Re: ECM and missiles
Heh, When I started a new commander with an Adder my first kill was a missile. My second kill was the pirate that launched it! As good as the Cobra III is, it can't out turn an Adder
Find out about the early influences of Fatleaf here. Also his OXP's!

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

I gotta say, the BCC is one tough old bicycle. It just takes the punishment and carries on regardless. I'm in love

They are very durable for sure and she handles well also. I flew one for a long time and the only reason I upgraded mine to a Boa Clipper was for the increased speed to cut down in-system journey times - I didn't mind losing a bit of cargo space as she's plenty big enough even with the reduction.
The BCC is definitely Oolite's core Uber-Ship. The only trouble is you tend to get lazy and sloppy when you fly one. Yes, you can just sit there soaking up the punishment while dealing out death of your own, so that's what you tend to do. What suffers is your fine piloting skills. When I started a second Commander (in the Cobby 3 which he is sticking with) I almost had to re-learn all the dogfighting skills over again. And now, having run both Commanders for some time I have to be honest and say the Cobra is a much more involving ship, and that's the one I normally choose to fly on the rare occassions I actually find time to play the game these days.

I do know what you mean - there isn't much the Boa CC can't squish in a fight so you do get complacent. I love the huge cargo capacity though.Smivs wrote:Commander Tricky wrote:I gotta say, the BCC is one tough old bicycle. It just takes the punishment and carries on regardless. I'm in love

I've stopped using the ECM as much as possible and now shoot the missiles down. I've been caught by a few (not been able to shoot them before they get me) but it makes the BCC more of a challenge!
Next stop 'Deadly'. Then I will have a big decision to make

Thumbs up from me.. I have drove a Caddy DR and something called a Wonderworm . both tipped the balance a little too unfairly in favour of the player. The BCC is definitely Oolite's core Uber-Ship.
With the BCC, as tough an old bird as she is, you can still get into hot water when being beset by multiple bad boys.and girls ......... or both because as far as I understand , Some alien vessels are hermaphrodites and seem to self spawn vicious little baby robot fighters..)
I'm off to self reprimand for drifting off topic now.
