[COMIC] Frontier Comic Thing

Post by Selezen »

For better or for worse, I've put a webcomic online that references the Frontier forums and lampshades some stuff.

http://www.daftworks.co.uk/frontier/?id=1

The links under the post take you to the next, previous and current comics...

I started drawing it as a "chill" thing when writer's block hit, and it seemed like something that was worth sharing.

The stuff posted so far is a kind of "preview" to the main story, so if people like it then I'll keep drawing it on a random schedule (since I have other more important priorities!). If not, then I'll just leave it as a writer's block "hobby".

Either way, let me know. Hope you enjoy it.

I haven't fully finished the site design (comic navigation in particular) and it's in a simple blog style.

"I can't come: I might be under house arrest" is a great line.

Thanks. :)

Oddly, this is another bit of proof that my best writing comes from the top of my head without any planning or thought.

The original version of the comic had all four of those guys going South. When I worked out that the ginger guy and the mop-haired guy (Gregg and Stu respectively) just stood about making useless comments, they were written out. I had to then change the dialogue in that strip to give them excuses not to be coming. Stu's comment was picked out of thin air, and I quite like the fact that he doesn't actually know!

Maybe that's a story in itself... ;)

Nice, but one small nitpick: shouldn't the logo in the mirror be … mirrored? (Sorry, I just can't help myself.)

Good catch. Oops!

I'm amazed no-one's mentioned the glaring mistake in episode 12. ;)

Okay, if you insist:

It's not Elite, it's Frontier. :P
