Re: Screenshots
Lovely set of screenshots! is it a trick of the light or are the red patches on that planet somehow glowing? If so how's that being done? is it Submersible's 'shady planet' code branch?

I think it's a trick of the light, but the effect is very nice!Griff wrote:Lovely set of screenshots! is it a trick of the light or are the red patches on that planet somehow glowing? If so how's that being done? is it Submersible's 'shady planet' code branch?
The planet is from System Demux, a very underrated planet set, IMHO.

Which OXP is that station from?
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

That's from Dertien's Z_Groovy system stations, which I incuded in my Stations for Extra Planets oxp.Diziet Sma wrote:Which OXP is that station from?

Re: Screenshots
Nope - somewhere (can't remember exactly) in G7. I think I turned up at an inter-galactic police seminar. Every single one of those was queuing to dock - one would move about a yard, which would trigger three others to move two feet, then ten more would move six inches.
After about five minutes of watching it and fighting the urge to put a burst of fire into one of them and trigger an Oolite Blues Brothers space car chase, I gave up and Shift-C'ed into dock. If saving while in flight was possible, I might just have had a pop...

Nope. Note that all the blobs are police (or military) ships. Could be the aftermath of a furball outside the station.JazHaz wrote:I might be wrong but that looks like it's at the Tionisla Graveyard?

That was my initial reaction - until I remembered I removed the Furball OXP a while ago (it was happening a bit too often and my ship has auto-turrets, which are a tad indiscriminate for use near things like main stations).Commander McLane wrote:Could be the aftermath of a furball outside the station.
I just opened the original (1680x1050) pic in Photoshop, messed with the levels a bit and counted seventy-one system vessels in visual, and no SecCom station in the system either.

Re: Screenshots
Griff's recent Hognose oxp includes missionaries who evangelise about the Witchspace Lobster. They also make disparaging remarks about our less-than-average number of legs, so the unfortunate Bronco may be of that persuasion. I think Griff borrowed that banter from an older missionaries oxp, so it could also be that.
