FREE short story Anthology
Apologies for the dash in, dash out - RL(tm) sucks in ways that would be difficult to describe at the moment.
However, in a moment of sanity, clarity I offer you this:
My Writers' Group WordWatchers (http://www.WordWatchers.net) were recently short-listed for the Writers' Circle Anthology Award and although we didn't win we were extremely pleased to make the short-list with our first effort, which was pulled together by a crack team, in just a few weeks.
To celebrate we're giving it away for free today if you have a Kindle or the Kindle App.
It has something for everyone, but the SF element is mine (naturally) - if any of you have wives or girlfriends who might like this it contains a story by Sunday Times Best Seller Katherine Webb (The Legacy, The Unseen) and Romantic Novelists Assoc (RoNA) Award Winner Charlotte Betts (The Painter's Apprentice, The Apothecary's Daughter).
So there you go, a free anthology containing 11 really good short stories, so hopefully you'll like at least one of them!
Cheers,
DH.

Cool.. thanks!
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Not yet - ploughing through the Vanguard saga (ST) at the moment - it's next on my list, just before Michael's Faust 2.0...

No pressure! Was just curious - not often a writer has direct contact with somebody who is reading their book!Selezen wrote:Not yet - ploughing through the Vanguard saga (ST) at the moment - it's next on my list, just before Michael's Faust 2.0...

Oh yes, I read your story on my Kindle app on my Android phone. Sure you haven't put that story up before, seems awfully familiar?

Don't recall making "We are the Stranded" available anywhere else - I may have discussed the premise on this forum, but other than that, no.JazHaz wrote:Oh yes, I read your story on my Kindle app on my Android phone. Sure you haven't put that story up before, seems awfully familiar?

Darn, missed this when it was free. Would have liked to include it to my summer reading. I may pick up the sample in any case, but the problem with those is that you only get a sample of one writer usually...
Author of Tales from the Frontier - official Elite 4 anthology.
Author of Marcan Rayger adventures - unofficial fan-fic novellas set in the Frontier universe.

Not as yet.. been far too busy giving the website for the family business a makeover.. but that's finished now, so I'll check it out soon..DaddyHoggy wrote:So, did any body read it...?
Thank-you. It's all idle curiosity mixed with professional pride (personally and on behalf of my fellow WordWatchers who assembled the book in both print and Kindle formats).

Many appologies, I forgot that I had downloaded it to read. I actually just tried purchasing it not realising I already had it. I'll see if I can clear some time to read it tonight.DaddyHoggy wrote:So, did any body read it...?

Still not read it. I promise I will read it before the EliteMeet this November (even if I have to finish it off on the train to Manchester Airport).Tricky wrote:Many appologies, I forgot that I had downloaded it to read.
