3D model conversion

Post by Mirad Grameron »

It's a tough one folks.

What I have:

A model of a boat in .wrl and .x3d

What I need:

The same model in any other format. ANY other format.

I could probably convert your .wrl file. But your stuck with the .x3d I'm afraid.

It doesn't matter which one gets converted. As long as I have a boat in something other .wrl/.x3d. I can't take 3D Studio Max though.

What program do you use to convert .wrl files? I've been looking for one for three hours and I can't find it.

If it's a fairly simple model then converting from .wrl (VRML's format) to .obj can be done by hand in a text editor as they're both text based formats.

Of course, you'd need a basic understanding of the formats involved - but that can be cribbed from the interweb!
