New test SSE2-optimized executable uploaded, compatible with nightly datafiles of r5678.

Thanks to 3DH for his bug report. This executable should work without issues on any Intel or AMD64 processors and in older Windows versions too. As before, to test just drop it inside the nightly's oolite.app folder and run.

After quick test - I've just killed some poor souls and jumped a few times. Looks good, plays smooth, a_c. Muchas gracias :D

I find that (on my Win8 64 bit, but old-ish, system) this optimized version seems a bit faster sometimes, at least or especially with explosions. So that's good! But installing it, or trunk, removed my 'TAF', which irks a bit. .

Well, yes, TAF is removed from the Deployment distributions and this exe is a deployment test. As for trunk (which is prepared always in Test Release configuration), TAF is still there, but you need to have the FPS display visible in order to get it to function. This was done some time ago after users reported too many TAF accidental changes.

So, is this new speed-up feature going to go in at the next version?

Looks like a very good idea to me.

Maintaining compatibility with older processors and systems is important. The way I see it from here, the next version will be packaged as a standard Deployment build, with an SSE2-optimized executable distributed separately for those who prefer it and have systems that can run it.
