They are also no longer limited to just 16x16 pixels.. there are now 32x32 and 64x64 favicons. Not all browsers support them, though.
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Cool! Perchance, the Wiki too? Then there's PG's interactive charts...

But than you loose all your flavicons from the archive and all bookmarks default to geniric ones.

I just tried: no changes for me with Firefox, Opera, Safari.

I don't think Safari has an option to clear the flavicon cache. But the database is stored in "Library -> Safari -> WebpageIcons.db". Remove the file "WebpageIcons.db" and this site shows its beautiful new icon. :) However, all my bookmark icons are gone and probably will only rebuild on visiting the site. So I re-installed my old database file and after restarting Safari, my bookmark icons were back, but this site's flavicon disapeared again. :(

I just wait until Safari thinks it is time to update it.

(The development menu in Safari has an option to clear caches, but that excludes the flavicon cache.)

I meant only the aegidian cookies... I should've been clearer.

I don't think they are linked to cookies. Anyhow, now on this login, did Safari pick up the flavicon by itself.

(Also Firefox and Opera)

I cleared out those cookies (plus others that were referenced - kickstarter and box) - re-logged in to the forum and still no favicon. Nothing in the page source that referenced it either.

I had to clear my cache, then restart Firefox in order to get it working - but it does now beautifully.
