Hi to all!
As my first post here, much kudos to the developers of this A1 game. Getting this sort of game up and running in the first place is a great acheivement, but adding to that some of the extras I'm beginning to find....
One thing confuses me though: I've just bought myself a docking computer (first puchase as Mostly Harmless!). First time I used it I used R to ID the station, C to dock and got confirmation. All seemed OKl.... got to final approach... BOOM - found myself tumbling through space minus my Cobra Mk III. I've found I also occasionally blow up when manually docking for no reason I can determine.
What on Diso did I do wrong? Please help - I can't hold my breath much longer!
I've noticed on the ref sheet that Shift-D is for no-sequence docking - I'll stick to that in future as it's much more convenient, but I'm still curious about what happened. I'm not sure which version I'm using by the way, but I only downloaded a few days ago so it must be the latest?
Cheers and thanks again.

Hi Cdr. Ash,
While I likely will not have the answer, there is a bit of information that you further post in order to find what went wrong.
I've only run into one bit of docking mayhem in ver. 1.65, and that is with Torus (ring) Stations - there is a problem with the code that is being worked on. So, if you were docking at this type of station, it's probably easiest to remove the Torus Station add-on until the bug is resolved.
Otherwise, post what type of station and what planet it was/is orbiting. As for what version, follow this trail on your computer:
Go to: My computer, to local disk C, to program files, to Oolite file, and once the Oolite file is open, open and read the top of the ReadMe file.
Have fun:-)

The text at the top of the readme says 'Oolite snapshot build of svn revision 527 (2006-05-06)'
I think the station was around Diso or Leesti - I've not ventured any further out at the moment. As for add-ons, I haven't used any yet - thought it best to check out the basics first (though from what I've seen there is some good stuff there).
Using Shift-D sorts the problem anyway, so no worries.
I must say that I'm having a lot of fun with this game. I remember playing the Commodore 64 one when I was 11 (that ages me a bit!) and then the Amiga one later. It's good to see this version taking things further.

I think these problems are already fixed in the latest Mac release, but we PC users have to wait until it is ported to our platform... Hopefully, the wait is not too long...
